President - Cavrine Harris
Cavrine joined the AGC board in 2018 and served as treasurer for two years. He graduated from UF with a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in December 2017. His favorite memories from UF include football games, global immersion in Prague, Czech Republic, grabbing dinner with friends at Piesanos & hanging out at 101 Cantina. Gainesville was the first home for Cavrine & his wife, the experience of pursuing degrees together is his fondest memory from UF. Cavrine works as the Strategic Financial Officer (SFO) for the Cybersecurity group at Suntrust Bank in Atlanta. Outside of work, Cavrine enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, reading & supporting Gator sports.
President-Elect - Keith Bowermaster
Keith graduated with degree in public relations in the early 1990’s and returned to his hometown of Miami, FL to begin his career in healthcare communications. Over the next 15 years, he worked for several of the region’s most well-known companies, including Miami-Dade Fire Rescue / Emergency Management, Baptist Health South Florida, and Jackson Health System. During his time in the “305,” he also worked at the University of Miami, where he utilized the tuition remission employee benefit to earn his master’s degree in liberal arts. In 2008 he, his wife and soon-to-be-born daughter moved to Forsyth County, GA and has worked for the state’s largest healthcare system and one of the region’s most prominent public relations agencies. Since 2013, Keith has been actively involved with the UF College of Journalism and Communication, serving as a member, vice chair, and chairman of the College’s Public Relations Advisory Council, which regularly meets with students, faculty and staff to discuss trends in the industry and how the College can best prepare students for a successful career. He is also an adjunct professor, having taught PR and writing courses at Florida International University and a Fall 2020 online course at NYU. Keith currently manages his own communications firm with clients in the healthcare, construction, packaging and non-profit industries.
Immediate Past-President - Kamelya Hinson
Kamelya (aka Kam) has served on the Atlanta Gator Club board since 2012. She worked her way from Watch Party Hostess to Communications VP, Membership VP and President-Elect. Kam was recently honored with the coveted University of Florida Alumni Association's National Leader of the Year Award for her service as president-elect in 2018-2019. A Gator legacy, Kam is a proud 1990 J-school grad with a BS in Communications. She was born on campus at Shands Hospital, grew up in Miami, Florida, and attended Miami Killian Sr. High (also Dr. Fuch’s alma mater). As a young graduate in the early 90’s, Kam worked in radio, television newsrooms and interned in NY with Spike Lee's 40 Acres production company. She moved to Atlanta in 1995 and later became Communications Manager for Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta and is currently a Senior Health Communication Specialist for the Dept. of Health and Human Services. Her favorite college memories are singing in the UF Gospel Choir, doing community service at senior living facilities as a Phi Beta Sigma Dove and serving as WUFT Associate Producer for the annual Gator Growl homecoming parade.
Treasurer - Harrison Bidwell
Harrison graduated in 2018 from the Fisher School of Accounting 3/2 Program with a Bachelors and Masters in Accounting. When he started in 2013, he became the 7th member of his family to spend at least a semester in Gainesville, and he met his fiancée, the 4th Gator of her family, during his "first" senior year. A native of West Palm Beach, he moved to Atlanta to work as a CPA in Deloitte's Audit Practice upon graduation. His favorite memories of UF are riding his bright red scooter up and down Museum and spending time at the Salty Dog Saloon - so much so he adopted his own Dog, an Australian Shepherd named Salty.
Secretary - Viet Thaison Nguyen
Goes by Thaison, Thaison became a Gator in 2007 and graduated from the University of Florida in 2016 with a Master’s in International Business. Highlights from his time at UF includes being involved with the Asian American Student Union organizations, attending Gator basketball games, and studying abroad as a Gator in Munich, Shanghai, and Madrid. After graduation, Thaison was part of a tech startup in Fort Myers for 3 years before moving to Atlanta seeking new opportunities. His interests include photography, traveling, Japanese anime, kpop, basketball, and cooking vegan foods.
VP, Academics - Alisha Green-Wyche
Alisha Green-Wyche is an Assistant Principal at a local High School. Prior to education, Alisha worked in media, sports management and marketing with various professional and collegiate organizations. Since that time, Alisha has achieved success in the educational field working with students with disabilities. She was also a coach of track and field and competitive cheerleading, where she now serves as an official. She discovered her love for kids through her experience of tutoring youth and working with CHAMPS at UF as well as coaching local youth. After spending her childhood visiting campus and growing up a Gator, Alisha says that her most memorable experience at UF, other than sports, was getting to be the Associate Producer for the Florida step-show weekend where she made many connections and lasting memories. Alisha is daughter of two UF grads and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications from University of Florida, Masters in Curriculum from University of Hawaii, Manoa and Specialist in Educational Leadership from Berry University. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and supporting performing arts.
Webmaster - Jason Weisbrot
Jason graduated from UF in 2005 with a BS in Business Administration (Finance). Originally from Miami, he moved to Atlanta in 2007 and was on the Young Alumni board for many years. Jason is a huge Gator football fan and went to just about every game during his time in Gainesville.
